CANCELLED - Outdoor Free Training Event / Picnic Spofforth Castle 31st August 2019, Midday

  • spofforth Castle Street Harrogate, England, HG3 United Kingdom (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Sadly due to a poor weather forecast we have had to cancel this event.

With the kind permission of English Heritage we would like to invite you to an outside training event at Spofforth Castle starting at Midday on Saturday 31st August 2019. We aim to finish around 2pm.

Everyone including families, training or not, are of course welcome and we hope the weather will be kind. Please bring a picnic as we will train for an hour and then break at 1 pm for food.

We also would like to use the event and the venue to update our stock of photos. We will discuss this on the day but please let us know if you do not wish to appear on our promotional material. We will make it very clear when this part of our event will take place.

Wear Uniform and trainers. Bring with you both your club T-shirt and jacket. If you are happy to be part of our picture sets we will be changing between t-shirts and Jackets.

English Heritage asked we bring the following to your attention:

Within the castle, there are uneven paths and low walls. Children must be supervised.
The windows which appear to be ground level from the grassed area in front of the castle actually give onto unguarded drops inside. Please ensure people – especially children – keep well away from these.
The grounds will be open during our event.
Dog walkers use the grounds, as do bees, wasps and an assortment of other creatures.
Only students training can be left with us for the 2 hours.
In the event of a poor weather forecast, we will cancel the event.
